iZettle onboarding emails
The brief
iZettle, which would later become Zettle by PayPal, served small businesses who cared about tools that saved them time – what they cared about was putting their energy into doing what they loved. In other words, running their business. They didn’t have time to faff around setting up a complicated point-of-sale system.
The approach
At iZettle, we wanted to get across that our solutions did the heavy lifting, and though the tech behind them might be complex, they were intuitive, quick to set up and reliable for the end user. In collaboration with a CRM specialist, we targeted two emails to users in the onboarding phase of their customer journey. So far, these small business owners had done a minimal signup – entered their name and email only. The message was clear: they would finish registering an account in no time, and set their business up for success.
The solution
In truth, the poor little brief for these emails had been kicking around in the team backlog for an embarrassing amount of time, but once we had a window, they were a less labour of love than a let’s get this done. And perhaps speedy passion was the secret sauce – happily, the emails are featured on reallygoodemails.com.
