VRP Explained
The brief
For the uninitiated, variable recurring payments (VRP) are one of those bleeding edge concepts that boggle the mind, but are essentially quite practical. Frankly, I still have to refresh my memory every time I write about them (which is a lot). Tink’s creative studio at the time were rather excited about getting an awareness brief about VRP – it was pretty much “Do whatever you like.”
The approach
Tink had produced video content before, featuring talented staff. A series of explainer videos was just the ticket. But this time, the whole thing was going next level – from the presenter to the look and feel of the video – it was going to have its own design system. The episodes were truly bite size (less than a minute each). And each tidbit laddered up to a lovingly crafted story – beginning with what VRP is (VRPs are? People still have opinions) and closing with why it’s going to change the future of payments.
The solution
The creatives who developed this collateral say if they could choose one project to showcase from their time at Tink, it’s this one. ’Nuff said.
