Groupon ad
The brief
Groupon made headlines as a ‘daily deal’ provider offering discounted experiences, products and services. By the time it opened its doors in Australia and New Zealand, competitors had popped up and established themselves firmly in people’s inboxes. Even to the point that the company had to start trading as ‘Stardeals’ as one of these competitors, Scoopon, had bought the groupon.com.au and groupon.co.nz domains. So deals that got one of the untapped (or less targeted) segments were key. And one of these was a family visit package to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on Australia’s picturesque Queensland coast.
The result
Won an internal ‘Deal of the Year’ award.
